Thursday night in other area boys games: Aplington-Parkersburg edged Jesup 61-58 in overtime, Denver got by Hudson 56-49, Don Bosco beat Tripoli 57-41, Dunkerton topped Grundy Center 62-55 and Union edged Sumner-Fredericksburg 45-41.
Thursday night in area girls basketball: Grundy Center hammered Valley Lutheran 62-20, Jesup edged Aplington-Parkersburg 48-46 and Union beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 55-30.
