Monday night on Y99.3 the Denver Cyclones swept the Hudson Pirates. In the girls game Denver won 54-51 behind 17 points from Emma Hennessy. In the boys game Denver won 71-53 as Bryce Phelps and Kyler Matthias scored 17 points and Caylor Hoffer added 16 points.
Monday night in area girls basketball: Jesup hammered Columbus 52-29, Dike-New Hartford ran by Aplington-Parkersburg 70-36, Cedar Falls topped Xavier 60-42 and Tripoli beat Wapsie Valley 67-52
In boys hoops: Jesup edged Columbus 44-43, Dike-New Hartford clipped Aplington-Parkersburg 65-60 and Wapsie Valley beat Tripoli 64-24.
