Thursday night the Denver Cyclones swept the Wapsie Valley Warriors. In the girls game Reese Johnson scored 14 points to lead Denver to a 54-26 victory. In the boys game the Cyclones came from behind to win 71-63. Bryce Phelps led the Cyclones with 18 points and Kiks Rosengarten scored 19 for the Warriors.
Thursday night in girls basketball: South Hardin thumped Don Bosco 42-27, Clarksville ran by Dunkerton 41-30, Linn-Mar crushed Waterloo East 74-33, Sumner-Fredericksburg beat Hudson 50-35, Aplington-Parkersburg 57-35 and Dike-New Hartford thumped Union 51-24.
In boys hoops: Janesville beat GMG 71-55, Clarksville upset Dunkerton 51-34, Aplington-Parkersburg ran by Columbus 85-47, Hudson beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 53-49, South Hardin edged Don Bosco 60-55 and Dike-New Hartford thumped Union 64-36.
