Monday night on Y99.3 Waterloo Christian and Janesville split a doubleheader. Waterloo Christian won the girls game 42-29 as Faith Trelka scored 18 for the Regents. In the boys game Wiley Shurburne scored 30 points to lead Janesville to a 60-42 win. It’s the 7th game that Sherburne has scored 30 or more points this season.
Monday night in boys basketball: Wapsie Valley topped Hudson 70-57, Dunkerton beat Tripoli 67-52, Riceville topped Don Bosco 44-38 and Aplington-Parkersburg ran by Columbus 85-45.
Monday night in girls basketball: Waterloo West beat Waterloo East 72-40, Dunkerton got by Tripoli 44-30, Nashua-Plainfield beat North Butler 58-38, Denver hammered Jesup 62-35 and Columbus beat Aplington-Parkersburg 48-30.
