Wednesday on Y99.3 the Go-Hawk softball team tripled their win total as they defeated Sumner-Fredericksburg and Waukon. In the morning game it took 10 innings before the Haley Eckerman pushed across the winning run in the 1-0 score. Marely Hagarty notched 16 strike outs in the victory. In the night game the offense came alive as the Go-Hawks beat Waukon 8-1.
In other softball scores: Aplington-Parkersburg beat South Tama 8-2, Riceville topped Janesville 5-1, Wapsie Valley crushed Dunkerton 20-3 and Dubuque Hempstead beat Waterloo East 17-3.
In baseball: Aplington-Parkersburg topped Dunkerton 7-5, Wapsie Valley ran by Clarksville 18-8, Denver beat Jesup 9-5, Columbus blanked Grundy Center 5-0, Don Bosco beat West Marshall 13-7 and Sumner-Fredericksburg outscored North Fayette-Valley 19-9.
