Monday night on KWAY Country the Class 4A 9th ranked Waverly-Shell Rock girls beat Class 3A 12th ranked Clear Lake 45-40. The Go-Hawks hit 10 of 12 fourth quarter free throws to seal the deal.
In other girls basketball Monday night: Waterloo Columbus topped Waterloo Christian 55-50, Northwood-Kensett beat Nashua-Plainfield 62-35 and Tripoli got by Postville 49-40.
In boys basketball: Waterloo Christian edged Columbus 55-51, Don Bosco beat Valley Lutheran 66-42 and Nashua-Plainfield topped Northwood-Kensett 59-52.
