Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock basketball teams swept Forest City on the road. In the girls game the Class 4A 7th ranked Go-Hawks beat Class 3A 6th ranked Forest City 43-26. In the boys game the Go-Hawks edged Forest City 33-31 as the Indians missed a contested 3-pointer at the buzzer. Preston Baumhover led all scorers with 17 points.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Dunkerton and Janesville played. In the girls game 7th ranked Dunkerton won 79-26. It is the 5th straight win with an over 50 point margin. In the boys game Isaac Jones scored 33 points to help Janesville win 66-56.
Tuesday night in girls basketball: Clarksville beat Tripoli 57-26, Denver crushed South Hardin 54-18, Dike-New Hartford beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 52-38 and Hudson topped Wapsie Valley 47-30.
In boys basketball: South Hardin edged Denver 68-62, Don Bosco ran over Rockford 82-30, Dike-New Hartford beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 69-59 and Hudson got by Wapsie Valley 53-40.
