Monday night on KWAY Country the Go-Hawk girls beat Mason City 48-43. The Go-Hawks were led by Katelyn Eggena who scored 24 points and hit a school record 14 free throws in 17 attempts. Morgan Neuendorf had the record of 13 made charity shots since the 2012-13 season.
Monday night on Y99.3 the Wapsie Valley Warriors swept the Tripoli Panthers. The Wapsie Valley girls won 51-17. In the boys game the Warriors won 70-31.
Monday night in other girls basketball: Nashua-Plainfield beat Waterloo Christian 47-37, Sumner-Fredericksburg hammered Oelwein 57-29 and Iowa City Liberty beat Waterloo East 57-44
In boys basketball: Newman beat North Butler 73-36 and Waterloo West edged Charles City 54-52.
