Tuesday night on Y99.3 Denver and Dike-New Hartford split a basketball doubleheader. In the girls game #1 ranked Dike-New Hartford used a big 3rd quarter to beat 3rd ranked Denver 53-35 as Cyclone Reese Johnson led all scorers with 15 points. In the boys game Denver used 14 points from Caylor Hoffer to edge the Wolverines 45-42.
In other boys basketball: Crestwood beat Clarksville 76-36, Aplington-Parkersburg slammed Columbus 96-31, Waterloo Christian beat Don Bosco 51-9, Dunkerton ran by Tripoli 74-38, Mason City Newman slammed Nashua-Plainfield 65-25, Wapsie Valley beat Hudson 67-38 and Jesup edged Sumner-Fredericksburg 64-62
In other girls basketball: Waterloo West beat Linn-Mar 56-38, Cedar Rapids Kennedy topped 3rd ranked Cedar Falls 70-64, Aplington-Parkersburg beat Columbus 56-31, Don Bosco got by Valley Lutheran 32-22, Dunkerton edged Tripoli 41-38, Jesup beat Sumner-Fredericksburg 60-48 and Wapsie Valley topped Hudson 38-29.
