Tuesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock volleyball team earned the Northeast Iowa Conference Championship by sweeping New Hampton 25-19, 25-14 and 25-22. Jaz Westmoreland led the Go-Hawks with 14 kills and Laura Bates chipped in 12 in the victory. The Go-Hawks still have Decorah left on the conference schedule but Tuesday night’s win clinched at least a share of the title.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Janesville Wildcats beat the Tripoli Panthers in 4 sets in an Iowa Star Conference match-up. The Wildcats won 22-25, 25-15, 25-15 and 25-11.
In other volleyball Tuesday night: Cedar Falls swept Cedar Rapids Washington, Cedar Rapids Jefferson swept Waterloo West, Clarksville swept Waterloo Christian, Dike-New Hartford beat Denver in 4 and North Butler swept Rockford.
