Thursday night in high school volleyball on KWAY Country, Waverly-Shell Rock took over sole possession of first place in the Northeast Iowa Conference by beating Charles City in 4 sets. The Go-Hawks won 25-14, lost 25-23, and then won 25-17 and 25-16. Krissa Larson had 17 kills and Jayme Willemssen added 16 for the Go-Hawks.
Thursday night in prep volleyball on Y99.3 Janesville swept Don Bosco. The Wildcats won 25-22, 25-18 and 25-13. Junior Bree Thompson led Janesville with 21 kills.
Also Thursday night in volleyball Dunkerton beat Tripoli in 4 sets.
