Principal Fired After Charges are Filed

Valley Lutheran School has now fired 6th-12th grade principal Lucas Tanney after he was charged with Sexual Exploitation by a School Employee and Grooming, according to KWWL. The school’s Board of Directors made the decision after they say they reviewed new information that had come to light. They say the action was in the best interest of students, families, staff, and the school community. Tanney is accused of having sexual contact with a student at his home late last month. He also admitted to sending sexual texts to two other students around 10 years ago, although he claims those conversations did not lead to physical contact.
