A Waterloo man is going to prison after stealing his ex-girlfriend’s gun, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 44 year old Chad Wolf was convicted of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and has been sentenced to four years and five months in prison to be followed by up to five years of supervised release. His ex-girlfriend called police in February of 2025 to report her pistol had been stolen. Officers with the Violent Crime Apprehension Team found the gun hidden in the rafters of Wolf’s garage. He has 25 prior convictions, including felonies, which prevented him from handling guns.
