A proposal has been put forward to house another school in the current Cedar Falls High School and then demolish the building and build 43 homes. Brett Dahlstrom is proposing to buy the property through his Panther Builders business for $2 million and $1.5 million for the demolition. Prior to the demolition the plan is to house Waterloo Christian School, who are planning to build a new school of their own but need space in the mean time to cater to their growing enrollment. Once they move into their new building the old Cedar Falls High School would be demolished and replaced by 43 single family homes to be sold in the range of $200,000-$300,000 a piece. Cedar Falls is moving into a new high school and football stadium that had a budget of nearly $113 million. The proposal has not yet been discussed with the city of Cedar Falls.
