Iowa’s ethanol industry announced record production for 2016, the 43 ethanol plants in the state produced 4.1 Billion Gallons which is an increase of about 100 Million gallons over last year. Industry officials cite a rising demand for gasoline and increasing export opportunities as the reason for the increase and added that the industry has even more room for growth in the near future.
