Last year the Cougars finished runner up at State. Sumner-Fredericksburg will face Waterloo Columbus in the State Quarterfinals next Wednesday at 4:00.
Tuesday night in a match heard on KWAY Country Janesville swept Bishop Garrigan. With the win Janesville returns to the State Tournament to defend their title. Janesville will face Starmont next Wednesday night at 6:00.
In other volleyball scores Tuesday night Hudson swept Lamoni to advance to State and Starmont beat Tripoli in 4 sets to give the Panthers a rare season that doesn’t end in Cedar Rapids.
