Reynolds Signs Popular Conference Realignment Bill

Wednesday Iowa governor Kim Reynolds signed a bill that would create a committee to handle conference realignment for high school sports. The bill was sponsored by legislators representing Waverly-Shell Rock and Decorah and passed unanimously through the House and with one nay in the Senate.

Waverly-Shell Rock athletic director Greg Bodensteiner joined us yesterday and was hoping the bill would be passed but is still unsure of the timetable for the Go-Hawks to find a conference.

The Go-Hawks have been independent of a conference this school year.
