Tuesday in the State Softball consolations Prairie City-Monroe beat Sumner-Fredericksburg-Tripoli 3-1. With the loss the Cougars finish in a tie for 7th in the State. S-F-T finished with a 33-5 record and only graduate two seniors.
Tuesday night on Y99.3 the Sumner-Fredericksburg-Tripoli baseball team beat Wilton 6-2 in the Class 2A State Quarterfinals. The Cougars got great production from the bottom third of the lineup as they scored all six runs. Sumner-Fredericksburg-Tripoli will face county neighbor New Hampton in Carroll Thursday night.
