Wartburg senior quarterback Matt Sacia has been named one of the 13 semifinalists for the 2018 Gagliardi Trophy given to the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III by Jostens and the J-Club of Saint John’s University of Minnesota.
Sacia was one of four finalist invited to the award ceremony in Virginia his junior season. The two time conference MVP signal caller ranks 3rd in the nation for completion percentage and his 34 touchdowns also ranks 3rd, he’s 5th in passing efficiency and 8th in passing yards.
The four finalists will be announced on December 6th.
