Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer joined an elite club last night. Scherzer struck out 20 Detroit batters Wednesday night becoming only the 4th player in Major League history to strike out 20. Scherzer joins Kerry Wood, Randy Johnson and Roger Clemons, who did it twice, in the elite club. To make Scherzer’s feat more amazing is his 20 K’s came without a single walk in the Nationals 3-2 victory over Detroit.
