ELECTION RESULTS

In Wapsie Valley District 2, it was incumbent Brent Sauerbrei over challenger Michael W. Harford, winning 53 votes to 15. Meanwhile, in District 3, Rustie Kane eked by Janice D. Martins by just nine votes, 66-57. Former WV principal and East Greene superintendent G. Mike Harter was unopposed in District 5, earning 43 votes against two write-ins.

In Tripoli, voters had to choose two out of four candidates in the at-large race. Amy Brocka and Gordon F. Davis Jr. were declared the unofficial winners, getting 153 and 129 votes, respectively. Bruce Mueller was in third with 56 votes, and Melody Drewis earned 38, while there were three write-in votes. Meanwhile, Larry D. Piehl ran unopposed for a two-year vacancy, getting 182 votes to just three write-ins.

Meanwhile, the other races in the area were uncontested, but with Waverly-Shell Rock getting two new board members. In District 1, Corrie Ramige got 55 votes to seven write-ins, while in District 4, Kerri VanEe took 56 votes against three write-ins.

Incumbents ran unopposed in the other area districts. In Denver, Scott Krebsbach and Ryan Sheridan will return to the board, while Lindsey Eibey and Tracy Meyer will do the same in Janesville.

Up in Sumner-Fredericksburg, Dave Hassman earned the Sumner at-large seat, while Lonnie Schult took the Fredericksburg at-large position. Also, Sue Runyon will represent District 1 in the Northeast Iowa Community College board of trustees.

Gladbrook-Reinbeck School District Dissolution Vote was defeated.
