Self-Defense Classes for Women in Wake of Disapperances

In the wake of high profile disappearances of Mollie Tibbets and Jake Wilson many have warned of a spike in abductions in Iowa. However, the Iowa Department of Public Safety says the numbers can be misleading as they often include runaways who return home shortly after going missing. The current numbers, actually fall in line with recent years. With all that being said cutting down on those number and making sure you or someone you know is not a part of that statistic is ideal.

Director of The W, Sheila Kittleson, describes a women’s self defense course that they soon will offer.

The classes will be offered on October 15th and 22nd and is for women 16 and older. The deadline for signup is October 13th.
