The dust has still yet to settle on the recent Waverly City Council vote to change Bremer Ave from a 4-lane road to a 3-lane road. According to Mayor Dean Soash there were at least 100 comments on his facebook page and a petition in Waverly with over 300 signatures urging him to veto the change.
Despite this push, Mayor Soash tells us why he is not going to veto the decision:
The council voted 6-1 for the 3-lane conversion. Mayor Soash says they will consider changing back to a 4-lane configuration after the Parkway is open and if there are not any significant changes to traffic, emergency response time, or accident rates.
