Thursday the Wartburg softball team split the doubleheader with Simpson. The Storm were able to hold off the seventh inning rally by the Knights to take the first game, 5-4. While the Knights got their first win of the conference season in game two by a score of 2-1.
Thursdayday in track and field the Wartburg women’s outdoor track and field team won the Cornell Invite with 163.5 points. There were eight teams at the meet and the Knights finished ahead of #15 Dubuque.
The Wartburg men’s outdoor track and field team took second in the nine-team field at the Cornell Invite with 164 points. Dubuque won on the men’s side.
