Wartburg junior Katie Sommer was named the U.S. Basketball Writers Association Division III National Player of the week for women’s basketball.
Sommer, a 5-5 junior guard from Cedar Rapids helped lead the #9 ranked Knights to the Iowa Conference Tournament Championship. Sommer averaged 24.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 8.0 assists, and 2.5 steals in Wartburg’s two victories.
