Students at Waverly-Shell Rock Middle School teamed up with the organizers of Dukie’s One Eye Open to spread cheer to the kids at the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital. Wednesday the students went out to the middle school football field to wave while a drone flew above taking video.
Steve “Duke” Corson talked about why the students were involved.
Dukie’s One Eye Open golf event is Saturday at 10:00 at Prairie Links in Waverly. Corson says it is raising over$100,000 for the children’s hospital.
