Sunday in the women’s NCAA Tournament 2-seed Iowa was upset at home by 10-seed Creighton 64-62. Iowa shot only 35% from the field in the loss.
The 3-seeded Iowa State women ran over 6-seed Georgia 67-44 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.
Sunday the 11-seeded Iowa State men upset 3-seed Wisconsin 54-49 to reach the Sweet Sixteen.
The Sweet Sixteen is set and features: Arkansas vs. Gonzaga, Michigan vs. Villanova, Texas Tech vs. Duke and Houston vs. Arizona on Thursday; and Saint Peter’s vs. Purdue, Providence vs. Kansas, North Carolina vs. UCLA and Iowa State vs. Miami on Friday.
