Some major changes are coming to high school sports in Iowa. Starting in the 2025-26 school year both girls tennis and boys golf will move from the Spring to the Fall. In other significant changes in Classes 3A and 4A basketball the higher seeded teams can host all the way until the State Tournament. Also, the five seconds closing guarded rule will be eliminated from basketball.
