People in Waterloo might soon see traffic cameras on their streets. The city council passed the first vote this week for installing cameras to catch drivers who are speeding and running red lights. Tickets from the cameras would not effect a person’s driving record, but offenders would face fines up to $70. Police brought the camera plan to the council with the hope to limit crashes at 13 intersections in Waterloo.
