On February 9th, 2024, at 11:44 PM, Cedar Falls Fire Rescue was dispatched to a residential fire at 2206 Zircon Ln. Dispatch received a call that that the trailer was fully engulfed in the middle of the structure and that everyone had evacuated. Fire crews arriving on scene found heavy fire and smoke had extended through the center of the trailer. Fire crews extinguished the fire. Six occupants were at home at the time of the fire with one receiving burn injuries while exiting the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
