On 06/05/2023 at 12:04 PM the Black Hawk County Dispatch Center received a 911 call of a vehicle fire at 5008 Luke Street. The 911 caller reported that the entire rear end of a truck was fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters arrived to find one vehicle, parked in the street, fully engulfed. Firefighters quickly attacked and extinguished the fire. At the time of the fire the vehicle was not being driven, nor was it occupied. There were no injuries. Fire investigation determined that the fire originated from the improper disposal of grilling materials in the truck bed.
