The United States still leads the Medal count with one week to go in the Olympics. The U.S. has 69 total medals, 24 more than China. Americans have won 26 gold, 21 silver and 22 bronze.
Adding gold for the Team USA this weekend were: the men’s 4×100 Freestyle Relay, the men’s 4×200 Freestyle, Mady DiRado in the 200 backstroke, Kate Ledecky in World Record time in the 800 Freestyle, Anthoy Ervin in the 50 meter Freestyle, Michelle Carter in the shot put, women’s 8 rowing, Jeffery Henderson in the Long Jump, the women’s 4×100 Medley, men’s 4×100 Medley, Simone Biles in the vault and the mixed doubles tennis team of Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Jack Sock.
