The United State continues to lead the Olympic medal count with 26 total. The Americans have collected 9 gold, 8 silver and 9 bronze so far. Tuesday the U.S. added gold medals from the women’s gymnastics team, and in the pool from Katie Ledecky, Michael Phelps, and the 4×200 Freestyle Relay team. With Tuesday night’s 2 gold medals Michael Phelps now has 21 career gold medals.
