The UNI women’s basketball team will be playing in the postseason. The Panthers are in the WNIT and received a first round bye. The 16-15 Panthers will play either 21-11 Central Arkansas or 16-18 St. Louis.
Abbie Draper of Waverly-Shell Rock is on North Dakota State and her Bison team is also in the WNIT with a bye.
UNI men’s basketball star Nate Heise has entered the transfer portal. The graduated 6’4” guard averaged 13.5 points, 6 rebounds and 2.5 assists this season and was on the All-MVC Third Team.
