The NCAA Women’s Tournament tips off Friday. At 3:00 Friday afternoon 2-seeded Iowa hosts 15-seed Illinois State. At 9:00 3-seeded Iowa State faces 14-seeded UT Arlington.
The NCAA Men’s Tournament continues Friday with first round action. 11-seed Iowa State faces 6-seed LSU at 6:20 on TBS.
Thursday 12-seed Richmond upset 5-seed Iowa 67-63. Iowa shot 7% from downtown in the first half and 20% from the game. The Hawkeyes only shot 36% from the field as a team in the loss.
Other winners Thursday were: Michigan, Providence, Memphis, Baylor, Tennessee, Gonzaga, North Carolina, New Mexico St., Saint Peter’s, Creighton, Arkansas, UCLA, Murray State and Kansas.
