A bill to create a committee to handle school athletic conference realignment passed both the House and Senate with only one nay vote.
Waverly-Shell Rock will be greatly impacted by that bill becoming a law but it has not yet been signed by Governor Kim Reynolds.
Waverly-Shell Rock A.D. Greg Bodensteiner talked about the timeline for that bill and the status of another bill that would allow 8th graders to play high school sports in addition to baseball and softball.
Waverly-Shell Rock is still searching for a conference home and is competing independently.
