Earlier this month, the Waverly City Council and the Waverly-Shell Rock Board of Education each approved an employee services sharing agreement for the new human resources manager position. Abby Miller will start the job July 30, spending about 60 percent of her time with the city and 40 percent with the school district. Miller will be employed by the city, which approved her hiring last month, with the district reimbursing its portion of the $70,000 salary and benefits. She is coming to the job from the Waverly Health Center.
