Tuesday night in a game heard on Y99.3 Waverly-Shell Rock baseball beat Waterloo West 6-1. The game was originally started on May 25th and then suspended due to lightning. The Go-Hawks began Tuesday with a 1-0 lead and quickly gave up the only run of the game only to score 5 unanswered.
Coach Klunder and the Go-Hawks are back in action Wednesday on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. Wednesday at 5:00 they host Charles City in a conference doubleheader. This will be a home game for Charles City as the game was originally scheduled to be play in Charles City but their field is unplayable due to recent torrential rainfall.
