Monday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawk volleyball team swept Charles City to win a Regional Title. The Go-Hawks won 25-8, 25-17 and 25-14 to advance to the Class 4A State Tournament. Waverly-Shell Rock will play in Cedar Rapids next Tuesday at 4:00 against Lewis Central in the State Quarterfinals. The Go-Hawks will be the 3 seed.
Other area teams that advanced to the State Volleyball Tournament include Cedar Falls who earned the 1-seed in Class 5A and Waterloo Columbus who is the 3-seed in Class 3A.
