Monday night in high school baseball Waverly-Shell Rock and New Hampton squared off in a pivotal Northeast Iowa Conference doubleheader. The Go-Hawks took game one 7-4 but dropped game two 4-1. With the split the Go-Hawks won the season series with the Chickasaws and stay in a virtual tie for first place in the conference.
The Go-Hawks will have another big doubleheader Tuesday night on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. Tuesday evening they play conference leading Decorah at home. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 5:00.
