Thursday at State Volleyball on KWAY Country it was Western Dubuque sweeping Waverly-Shell Rock 25-21, 25-17, 25-23 to win a Class 4A State Championship. The Go-Hawks finished the year 44-7, runners-up at State for the second time in school history in their 4th championship appearance in school history and Northeast Iowa Conference Champions.
Other winners at State Volleyball were: Pleasant Valley over Cedar Falls in 5A, West Delaware topped West Liberty in 3A, Dike-New Hartford swept Western Christian in Class 2A and Burlington Notre Dame beat Springville in 1A.
