Thursday night was a huge night for the Waverly-Shell Rock cross country teams at Regionals in Humboldt. The Waverly-Shell Rock boys finished 2nd behind Gilbert and qualifies for State as a team for the first time since 1985. Andrew Cummer, Ethan Chestnut and Nick Kepford qualified individually for State.
On the girls side the Go-Hawks finished 8th but Emma Hoins won the event by three seconds and qualified for State her third time.
The State Meet is in Fort Dodge on Saturday, November 2nd.
