Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team split a doubleheader with Charles City. The Go-Hawks won the first game 2-1 behind Carson Graven’s complete game where he allowed only one walk. In the nightcap Waverly-Shell Rock led 1-0 going into the 6th when the Comets scored in both the 6th and 7th innings to win 2-1.
The Go-Hawks are back in action Thursday night as they go to Forest City. First pitch of this non-conference game is set for 7:30 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
