Thursday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball split a doubleheader with South Winn. The Go-Hawks won Game One 2-0 behind a gem from freshman pitcher Carson Graven. Graven gave up only one hit with two walks and nine strike outs.
In Game Two South Winn won 10-6 The lead switched twice before the Warriors got the win and held on to it.
The Go-Hawk baseball team is back in action Frinight against Charles City for a single varsity game. The game was originally scheduled to be in Charles City but will be played in Waverly due to Sportsman Park’s swampy conditions. First pitch is at 7:00 on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
