Wednesday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock baseball team swept 5th ranked New Hampton to steal the lead in the conference standings. The Go-Hawks won Game One 7-4 behind a complete game from Kurby Vowels. In Game Two the Go-Hawk bats exploded for 16 hits as they cruised by New Hampton 13-4.
The Go-Hawk baseball team is back home Thursday night as they host Crestwood at 7:00. The game can be heard on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3.
