Monday night on KWAY Country the Waverly-Shell Rock girls won again as they beat Mt. Vernon 45-39. Abbie Draper scored 16 and Kenzie Roling scored 14 to lead the Go-Hawks. At one fitting juncture of the game both teams unwittingly honored the late Kobe Bryant as the score ended up 24-8.
Listen Tuesday night to a doubleheader of Waverly-Shell Rock basketball on KWAY Country AM 1470 FM 96.3. Tuesday evening the Go-Hawks host the New Hampton Chickasaws. The girls game begins at 6:30 with the boys game to follow.
