Monday night in high school baseball on KWAY Country Waverly-Shell Rock won a thriller over Oelwein. The Go-Hawk led 1-0 in the 7th inning when the Huskies tied it with a dropped-third strike out that allowed a runner to come home. In extra inning the Go-Hawks got an 8th inning walk-off single from winning pitcher Brady Leonard.
The Go-Hawk boys are back in action Tuesday night on Y99.3. Tuesday evening at 6:00 the Go-Hawks will restart a suspended game with Waterloo West. In the game the Go-Hawks are up 1-0 in the bottom of the 3rd inning but West will have runners at the corners and no one out with the 3 hitter up when the game resumes at 6:00.
