Tuesday night the Waverly-Shell Rock Cross-Country team began their season with the Mt. Vernon-Lisbon Invitational.
In boys action Mt. Vernon-Lisbon won the meet with Waverly-Shell Rock coming in 4th. Eamonn McCullough was the Go-Hawks’ top performer finishing 10th.
In girls action Dubuque Hempstead topped the leaderboard with the Go-Hawks finishing 4th. Freshman Lauren Boevers was Waverly-Shell Rock top performer finishing 16th.
The Go-Hawk Cross Country team will be back in action next Tuesday at Oelwein.
