Thursday night on KWAY Country in high school baseball Waterloo West edged Waverly-Shell Rock in a marathon game. The Wahawks won 14-12 in 10 innings. The Go-Hawks got a 2-run home run from Abram Wrage and the Wahawks got a 3-run dinger from Josh Willis that sent the game into extras.
Waverly-Shell Rock is back in action Friday evening at 5:00 hosting Crestwood for a doubleheader. Former Go-Hawks coach Casey Klunder will be honored for his contributions to youth baseball between the games.
