The Wartburg men’s basketball team (1-0) defeated the Grinnell Pioneers (0-1) on Tuesday, 126-100.
In their season debut, the Knights broke the program’s single-game assist record, tallying 42 assists. That surpasses the previous record of 38 set against Grinnell in 2004.
Wartburg will return to action to host the Buzz Levick Tournament this Friday at 8:00.
The Wartburg women’s basketball team beat Cornell College 68-50 Tuesday night at home in the season opener.
